Built by a trustee, for the people who keep schools running.
Domiu holds community school, parent, and pupil information. We decide how to protect that data before we build a feature, not after. Four promises hold across every product: pupil records kept separate, every access logged, the directory kept fair, and safeguarding shown clearly on a school's site — not hidden away in back-office PDFs.
We keep sensitive pupil records separate from newsletters and timetable admin, record who looked at what, and encrypt data when it is stored. The rules come first, in plain English for trustees and volunteer coordinators.
From the founder
I sit on a supplementary school committee. We were drowning in spreadsheets, WhatsApp threads, and PDFs. Domiu is what I wished existed, built from inside these schools, not sold to them from outside.
Pupil records kept separate
Sensitive pupil files are kept apart from everyday school data, and encrypted when stored. Every access is logged.
Directory stays free and fair
Paying does not improve placement, badges, or visibility on Domiu.org. There are no sponsored listings, ever.
Safeguarding shown clearly, not hidden
Policies, contact details, and DBS information have their own place on every school website, not buried in a footer.
